As part of our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at the HIMSS21 Global Health Conference & Exhibition, all event attendees, exhibitors and HIMSS staff will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 “full vaccination” in order to gain access to the HIMSS21 campus.
This guidance applies to COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson (J&J)/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines), as well as COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization (i.e., AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Sinopharm and Sinovac) on or before July 26, 2021. To validate vaccination status, those entering the HIMSS21 campus must bring an ID and complete ONE of the following options to receive their conference badge:
- CLEAR Health Pass Validation (only available for vaccination records from the U.S.)
- Safe Expo Vaccine Concierge Validation
- Safe Expo On-Site Validation

If an attendee, exhibitor or HIMSS staff member does not meet these requirements, they are NOT considered fully vaccinated and will NOT be permitted to enter the HIMSS21 campus.
Additionally, HIMSS is encouraging all vendors, venues, and entities supporting HIMSS21 to staff the event with vaccinated employees to the greatest extent possible. Any vendor, venue, or entity employees supporting HIMSS21 who are not vaccinated must wear a mask at all times on the HIMSS21 campus and comply with relevant testing protocols.
HIMSS requests all participating at this year’s event comply with travel guidelines issued by the CDC when traveling to Las Vegas. COVID-19 testing will not be required for entry to the HIMSS21 campus, however, HIMSS will facilitate access to testing, via Eden Health, on-site at HIMSS21.
HIMSS has also implemented the following health and safety protocols for HIMSS21:
- All booths will have sanitization resources and be required to use EPA-approved cleaning solutions.
- Increased cleaning protocols, including for high-touch areas and/or demonstration products.
- Social distancing practices will be applied within booths and exhibitor sites, and additional efforts to mitigate congestion throughout the HIMSS21 campus will be applied.
